This past fall I submitted designs for the upcoming Georgia Aquarium (World’s Largest) Dolphin Parade, designed to raise funds for new Dolphin Facility/ Tank/ habitat at the Aquarium. I am very honored to have my design selected by Air Tran Airlines!  I will be applying paint and a few 3D features to the surface.  I hope you will look for the Dolphin Parade in the News, and see it when it moves across Atlanta.  I’ll have some more photos posted soon!  Thanks, Mitch

63rd Annual Members Show Quinlan Visual Art Center

On November 13th, the Quinlan Visual Art Center here in Gainesville, Georgia, had it’s 63rd Annual Members Show. Over 270 art entries were submitted, and I was honored to have my painting ” Dichotomy” selected for “Best in Show”! I was truly surprised, honored and humbled, as this Art Exhibit is really amazing!  In addition to Best in Show, there were places for 1st, 2nd 3rd, and 10 Honorable Mentions.  The Show is up until Dec. 4th.  As a an additional surprise my painting “Dichotomy” sold the next morning! WOW!   Thankyou!!!!

My sketchbook is filling up again which means once again I have escaped an artists block which had been quite heavy. I am about to launch into several projects: Paintings, Stone, and Bronze…which is way over due! I will put my best efforts forward to uploading new photos, and maybe even a VIDEO I have been hoping to start soon!   Now that I have “broken back into my website” I’ll do better about posting!

The Elephant Parade London 2010 was a HUGE success for the Charity Elephant Family, who raised over 4Million British Pounds!  WOW! That truly is amazing! My wife and I recently were in London for the Auction Event on June 30th, where the Auction raised over 1 Million that night! It was incredible! Our elephant “Utopia” was auctioned on July 4th, and the final bid was 9500 GBP which we are so thrilled to contribute to the charity!  We are looking forward to hearing where “Utopia” is headed, and where “she” will live!    I will be adding photos here on the website in a few days, please keep a look here often for updates!   We also would like to thank everyone who helped us reach this goal of participating in London’s Largest Art Exhibit! We appreciate everyones encouragement, and praise while we worked towards the charity goal!     Mitch
